Living our Principles in Times of Change
It’s the time of year when days grow longer and the world promises to
turn warm and green again. In this moment, we also find ourselves in
troubled moment of history. Our times are uncertain, but it is certain that our
Unitarian Universalist values of love and inclusion are good ones to hold
close.
In that spirit that we take up another rite of spring – raising the funds for
next year’s congregational life. Your leaders realize that uncertain times
create worry, but precisely for that reason First Parish needs to remain a
strong harbor of hope and resilience. To that end, please consider carefully
what you can share with your congregation in a pledge of financial support.
We would love to see an increase of 3% over what you have been giving if
possible, but we will value deeply what you can give freely and with hope in
your heart.
I believe in this congregation: its health, the goodness and generosity of
its people, its future as a spiritual home for those who share its vision. Let us
provide the practical resources, and being true to our values will make the
rest of it happen.

Blessings,
Rev. Susan Milnor
