Knitting for Peace Group

The Knitting for Peace group (or K4P) is once again meeting in the parlor at church on the second Friday afternoon of each month at 3:00 p.m. EVERYONE – knitters, crocheters, quilters etc – is more than welcome to come and join us. If you are interested in more information about the organization, go to knitting4peace.org. We call ourselves the South Shore Peace Pod and contribute hand made items to the Brockton Health Imperatives for their battered women’s shelter and immigration efforts and to the VA Hospital in Brockton for veterans. We also accept donations of unused yarn which we distribute to our knitters.

If you have any questions please contact Cindy Ladd Fiorini (claddfiorini@gmail.com) or Terri Nickerson (terri_nickerson@hotmail.com).

Women’s Connect Group

The 1+ Widows’ group is a social group for any woman who has lost her spouse or partner. We go out to dinner once a month and have other activities in between. If you would like to be included on the Google group for this women’s group to keep informed of our activities, please email ruthowendre@gmail.com. The group is open to all members and friends, and friends of friends of First Parish Church.

Introduction to Unitarian Universalism

If you are new to First Parish, we’d like to invite you to participate in our Introduction to UU  sessions.  These overviews, offered on a rolling basis to newcomers, are part of an  exploratory process, providing an opportunity to share in dialog with our Minister and to get to know others new to the First Parish community.  You will discover options for finding community, spiritual growth and service within First Parish.
